Founded in 1980 by Murray Paul, Northfast began as a small family-owned business in Sudbury, Ontario. From the very beginning, Murray’s vision was clear: to build a company grounded in exceptional customer service and trust. He knew that providing quality products and fostering lasting relationships with customers would be the foundation for success.
Initially, Northfast’s product range focused on concrete fasteners, catering to the needs of local contractors and builders. As demand for complementary tools grew, Murray expanded the product offering to include power tools, positioning the company as a one-stop shop for all fastening and construction needs.
In 2021, tragedy struck with the sudden passing of Murray, leaving behind a legacy defined by dedication and integrity. His wife, Elizabeth Paul, stepped in, with the team remaining committed to Murray’s unwavering focus on quality and customer trust, ensuring the company continued to operate as it had under his guidance for decades. After working alongside Murray for over 14 years, Codi Kennedy, along with his wife Sarah—Murray’s daughter—worked closely with Elizabeth to purchase Northfast. In 2024, Sarah and Codi officially took the helm, determined to uphold the values and vision that Murray had so carefully established.
Today, Northfast remains a proud family-run business, where we continue to build on the principles of dedication to excellence, customer service, and integrity. As we evolve and adapt to meet the needs of the future, our mission remains the same: to honor Murray’s legacy while ensuring Northfast’s continued success.
